Camping ~ Simple and Fun

Take the whole family camping! You can camp close to home or travel and explore new areas. A place where you won't find bumper to bumper traffic jams. Camping is so fun and relaxing as you get out into the beautiful creation of all God's country. Take hikes in the woods, fish and raft the lakes, rivers and streams. Enjoy the vastness of the heavens, the sun, the moon, the stars, lakes, rivers and streams.

We are in awe at the splendors of creation, the wonders of nature lead us to praise its Creator.

It may seem in times like these that we can't afford to go camping, but it is probably in times like these that we need it the most. To get away and connect with yourself and your family. It is "Simple Luxury Living" that brings peace of mind to a hectic life.

When we camp, there are times we use our camper and other times we camp in a tent or just camp under the stars. Some campgrounds have yurts or teepees that are fun to experience camping in. However you choose to camp, have fun and enjoy God's beautiful creation and all that nature offers.

Travel responsibly on designated roads and trails or in permitted areas. Respect the rights of others including private property owners and all recreational trail users, campers and others to allow them to enjoy their recreational activities undisturbed. Educate yourself by obtaining travel maps and regulations from public agencies, planning for your trip, taking recreation skills classes, and knowing how to use and operate your equipment safely. Avoid sensitive areas such as meadows, lakeshores, wetlands and streams, unless on designated routes. This protects wildlife habitat and sensitive soils from damage. Do your part by leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste, minimizing the use of fire, avoiding the spread of invasive species, and restoring degraded areas.

Enjoy a good campfire

Everyone likes a campfire. There is nothing better than sitting around a fire relaxing, telling stories, and roasting marshmallows. But as more and more people find their way deeper into the backcountry, campfire impacts are disturbing the natural beauty of many areas. So be safe, watch and contain your campfire.

We have a family reunion every year and have a big family campout at Moonshine Park. There is nothing greater than having family and friend get togethers, having fun with those we love.

Enjoy your surroundings

We fish, go crawdadding, play horseshoes, eat, eat some more, we have a couple guitar players who play for us, we go rafting, play badmitten, frisbee, football, baseball, and we just kick back, recline on a blanket beneath the trees and eat some more.
