Moments Spent With God

"It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, and afterward to reconsider his vows." (Proverbs 20:25)

It’s amazing how much stuff we try to cram into our daily lives and then wonder why we are mentally and physically exhausted. If we make life complicated and fill it up with a bunch of “stuff,” how can we ever focus on what matters most?

Many of us are running around trying to squeeze everything we can out of life when, in fact, we’d be a whole lot happier and healthier if we savored the beauty of simplicity!

Moments with God help you grow in your walk with Christ. Spend a few moments here everyday, as you come to know God more fully through Jesus Christ.

If you think about the Father the way Jesus does, you'll get an accurate perspective that will lead you to fall in love with Almighty God.

Maybe you don't like the way your life has been going lately, but can't seem to change it. No matter how stuck you may have become, you can move forward with God's help.

Rather than relying just on your own determined resolve to change and your own positive thinking (which may improve your life temporarily but not lead to permanent change), connect to God in prayer daily and rely on the strength that He will give you to truly change for good.

He wants to help you become the best person and experience the best life possible.  Invite God to give you a fresh start and cooperate with His work in your life by following where He leads you.

Change isn't always bad! Have you ever looked at a situation in your life and thought, Something has to change...something really needs to change, but you had no idea how to bring that change about?

God gives you the power to change. Don't be content with complacency and don't be afraid. The change you need always begins with trusting God to work in your life. You don't have to know what He is up to in order to have the courage to go through it. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded." (James 4:8)

Our God who cannot lie is the God who works all things together for our good to those who love Him and those who are called according to His purpose.  (Romans 8:28)

Living life simple is extremely rewarding. It’s amazing how you will appreciate all that is around you daily when you take the time to stop and enjoy it. Try it, you’ll see the difference and wonder what took you so long.

“And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

                          Meaning Of Devotion

Devote ~ To dedicate by vow. To give up (oneself or one's time, energy, etc.) to some purpose, activity, or person. The giving up or applying of oneself or something with the seriousness or earnestness evoked by a formal assign (something), as in a formal rite, to some serious, often apart for some religious or holy use.

Devotion ~ The fact, quality, or state of being devoted. Religious worship. Prayers, especially used in private. Loyalty or deep affection. The act of devoting; consecration. The state of being devoted; addiction; eager inclination; strong attachment love or affection; zeal; especially, feelings toward God appropriately expressed by acts of worship, devoutness. Manifestation of strong attachment; act of worship; prayer.

Devotional ~ A brief worship service. Devotion brings concentration, one-pointedness; and devotion, brings success and happiness to you, especially if you do it for a good cause, for a noble ideal. Because at that time, you concentrate everything on that thing, and then you forget everything else, so your mind is very clear.

In everyday life whatever you do, if it's good for yourself and other people, put all your best into it. That doesn't mean you have to be successful in order to know that you are devoted. Whether you are successful or you fail, if you put out all your best, your most sincere desire, to accomplish whatever you do, or to try to make that person happy ~ that is already devotion.

If you are a householder and you devote yourself to your family ~ that's devotion. If you love your wife with all your heart, try your best to make her happy, and do everything she requests ~ that's devotion. If you have a friend, and you lay down your life for him or her in a time of need ~ that is devotion.

Whatever you do, if it's a good, noble idea and you put in all your effort ~ that is devotion. In an attitude of allowing, all resistance in the form of thoughts of negativity or doubt are replaced with simply knowing that you and your Source are one and the same. ~ Wayne W. Dyer ~

God is easily approachable, God is for all, God is to be praised, God needs no ritualistic ornamentation. He wants fellowship with you. He wants you to communicate with Him.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”   (1Corinthians 12:9)
