Gardening ~ Enjoy Fresh
There’s nothing better than home grown vegetables, herbs, and fruits! I love them, I can't grow many of them. I do grow somethings. I purchase most of my produce from local farmers and markets or family and friends share theirs with us.
Do you have or know someone who has vegetable and fruit gardens?
Why buy chain supermarket vegetables from Mexico, Florida, California or wherever, when they are plentiful almost everywhere around you throughout the summer months. Buy locally if you can from gardens in your area. There are some where you can pick what you need or buy it freshly picked.
I support local farmers and enjoy going to the gardens and picking my own fresh fruits and vegetables, bring them home and start canning and freezing them for the winter.
Support local businesses such as local farmers and markets as well as pharmacies, food coops, and other stores. Buying locally supports local businesses and your communities.
Freezing and canning your foods, although labor~intensive, is a lot more efficient, healthy and fun.
